If you’d like I’ll string some words together to try and tell you about how good this beer is.
But it’d just be a pile of words.
A load of space filling nonsense that wouldn’t really tell you anything.
You see, I adore LOKA POLLY and I haven’t had a bad beer from them yet, and this Stout stacked with hops doesn’t disappoint.
The clever thing is that this isn’t a Black IPA, though it could so easily have been.
Instead, this is definitely a Stout, it’s big black treacle tart, honey, molasses, biscuit, pastry and black coffee prove it so, while the hoppy goodness jumps up in the finish with a fresh slap of lemon rind and woody tobacco, orange marmalade and lime zest, but the Stouty creaminess wins out, leaving you feeling warm and satisfied by the brandy snap finish.
You see, it’s all just words.
Superb.
