Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. Pump Up The Jam (5%)

I’m not sure where to begin with this.
You see, Pump Up The Jam is a Jam Doughnut Pale Ale that tastes like Jam Doughnuts.
It really does.
And I’m not sure why, because other than the lactose that adds some smooth vanilla ice cream, and the malts that bring waffles and, um, well, doughnuts, sticky and sweet sugary goodness.
The hops are an aside, a little brittle hedgerow and a spoon of lemon curd.
Thing is, I don’t know where they’ve pulled the raspberry jam from, because there is definitely raspberry jam in here and there’s absolutely nothing in the ingredients that would suggest these flavours.
And so what I’m left with is the simple fact that this little Pale Ale tastes like a mouth full of jam doughnuts.
This is great.
