Brass Castle Brewery Hygge Figgy (5.7%)

In the past I’ve been disappointed by Brass Castle’s beer, but finally with this Fig, Blueberry and Almond Porter I’ve found a BC beer I can say something positive about.
Sure it pours a thin looking watery brown, but shut your eyes and breathe in and you find a sexy blueberry muffin aroma.
There’s a bran biscuit, toffee fudge and brioche malt body and a little slap of fresh herbal hops.
But the star here is the mix of juicy blueberries, meaty fleshy figs and sweet nutty almonds that make the finish taste and feel like a well baked cake.
More like this please, Brass Castle.
