This version of Very Big Moose has been brewed with ground and whole bean coffee provided by Brewdog, and it combines superbly well with the lactose to make the beer feel thick and round and creamy, while also giving the beer a big vanilla ice cream and coffee richness.
The aroma is a sweet hit of treacle tart and coffee ice cream, and the body of the beer follows suit.
In fact, there’s not a lot else in here, save a big boozy hit of brandy and some waffles and wafers.
But that’s not a problem as the coffee, chocolate and ice cream are so very good that little else matters.
