The Garden Brewery Baltic Porter (10.1%)

I’d never heard of Croatia’s Garden Brewery until this can turned up in a case from Honest Brew.
And I have to say I’m very pleased to have them introduced to me, at least if this is anything go by.
Pouring a purple brown the aroma is heavy with cold pressed coffee and treacle tart, at once warm and woody, round and sweet.
The malting is thick and chewy, all toffee and honey, pecan pie, oatmeal and coffee, while the hops add a fresh slap of hedgerow greenery.
Everything here is plump and full and mouth filling, and everything is amped up by a dark rum boozy heat that adds an extra layer of dark forest fruits to the sweet voluptuous finish.
