Verdant Brewing Co. Five AM (8%)

Five AM is a DIPA brewed in collaboration with Collective Arts Brewing and named after an
Allen Ginsberg poem.
It’s a great big cloudy soup of a beer that stinks of sweet shop penny chews, foam shrimps and bananas, pineapple chunks and candy cigarettes.
The malting is round and chewy, sticky with honey and caramel, soft Belgian waffles and lightly salted shortbread and the hops, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin, mix lemon curd with green grapes and gooseberries, lime zest and pineapple pieces.
The there’s the London yeast that brings its own hit of peach flesh fruitiness along with a little hit of earthy spices, making for a finish that’s round and chewy, warm and boozy.
Lovely.
