Left Handed Giant Brewing Co. Honest Living (9.2%)

Brewed in collaboration with Collective Arts Brewing, this is a Coffee Stout with one hell of a punch.
There’s a malt bill as long as your arm, Fazenda Jacaranda coffee from James Gourmet Coffee and lactose.
But according to the ingredients there are no hops in here, which is something I find hard to believe given the pithy woody hedgerow greenery lurking around the edges of this kick in the face of a beer.
The malting is fathoms deep, with chocolate peanuts, honey sozzled pancakes, toffee brittle and brandy snaps, while the coffee adds its own damp woody chewiness and the lactose makes everything thick and smooth and sweet.
Hopping or not (and I reckon there is some), this is a brain frazzling boozy delight of a beer with a finish that’s warm and heavy with Rum.
Super stuff.
