Mad Squirrel Brewing Co. Native Tastes III (6.2%)

This Maibock, brewed by Mad Squirrel’s German Brewers is absolutely splendid.
It’s big and bold and full of fun, in fact it’s all the things a proper Maibock should be.
The big fuzzy head pop and fizzes with life and the beer smells of meadow flowers and strawberries.
There’s a chewy malt that’s thick with toffee and ice cream cones, Wurthers Originals and honey, along with a good blast of earthy yeast.
The hopping is steely and herbal, all pithy green leaves with a little orange marmalade on the side an there’s a rush of warm alcohol that rounds the beer out and leaves you with a sweet yet prickly finish.
