Honeydew melon front and centre, this pale ale smells of Yeastie strawberries and pours a pale gold with a smashing foamy head.
And that’s all well and good, but it’s the honey dew melon that jumps out at you from the very first mouthful that makes me like this beer as much as do.
Sure, there’s a soft a creamy caramel and toffee, honey bun and brioche malt body and a lovely fizzing bitter sweet finish of lemon sherbet and lime leaves, flying saucers and garden herbs.
But it’s the great big sweet juicy melon that sits front and centre in this beer that makes it so very good.
