I don’t know how he keeps on doing it, but keep on doing it he does.
Ian’s ode to Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci is a big juicy Gose that is bitter rather than sour, zingy and zesty with a clean sea salt finish and a label designed by Alan Holmes, designer of the GZM record covers.
There’s a lovely pancake and toffee malt body, sticky and sweet, round and smooth, it’s been mashed with an acid malt to bring out a gentle tartness, while the hops are green stinging nettles and garden flowers and the coriander peeps its little fragrant head out during the long dry finish.
Super stuff.
