Torrside Brewing Goddess Of Thunder (9.5%)

Brewed in collaboration with Neptune Brewery, this Imperial Stout with cherries is a thing of boozy goodness.
There’s lots and lots of dry crunchy autumnal leaves, cocoa powder, sticky treacle tart, molasses, candy canes and lack coffee, and that’s just the body of the beer.
Around it floats a slap of steely dry herbal hops, sharp and metallic, they curl your tongue and pucker your lips, and there’s also a big boozy punch to your kidneys, all brandy heat, peaty and warm and sexy.
The cherries add a lightly tart and meaty fruitiness to the finish, making the beer beer from plump round pudding to sharp and bitter fresh fruit liveliness.
