Vibrant Forest Brewery Misty Woods (6%)

Brewed in collaboration with Clapton Craft, this is an, “Autumn Haze IPA,” and I have to admit that it does feel kind of Autumnal.
It’s something to do with the brown crunchy leaves and woody tobacco of the hops I guess, that mix of Simcoe and Citra that brings resinous woody goodness and a sharp lemony kick.
The London Fog yeast adds an extra layer of lightly spiced, peppery fruit while the malt, heavy with wheat, creates a big creamy body, laden with toffee and honey, pancakes and bread crusts.
and then there’s the deliciously rich apricot jam of the aroma, just the kind of treat to have on warm toast when you’ve come in from the cold of a dark Autumn evening.
