Overtone Brewing Co. Cashmere Lager (5%)

This is a crisp and clean Lagered beer using traditional ingredients, Pilsner malt, a Southern German yeast strain, and Hallertau and Hersbrucker hops.
It’s light and airy, smells of bread dough and honey and gives you a soft caramel and shortcake malt, a little saltiness around the edges and lots of herbal greenery from the hops.
But then there is the addition of Cashmere hops to the mix, and they add an extra splash of colour, the zip of lemon sherbet and the prickle of lime zest.
It’s an addition that raises this from being simply a very good beer of its style to something a little bit special.
