Funk Estate Super Afro Stout (8%)

Brewed with chocolate, vanilla, honey, figs and Maca root, this is Funk Estate’s Aphrodisiac Stout for Valentine’s Day.
All I can say is that it’s a shame I’m fifty and single and living in Lockdown, because if this beer does any of the things that I fear it might, I’m going to be all wired up with nowhere to go.
This is a big dry Stout, a Stout with endless depths of boozy goodness.
There’s chocolate and honey, fleshy figs and peanut brittle.
The hops bring a teasingly subtle green bushy aside, but what really matters here is the great big stickiness of the malting and the other bits.
The figs are warm and fleshy, the vanilla is round and sexy, everything here is designed to get you tipsy and get you feeling a bit naughty, and everything works perfectly.
So now I’m stuck here in my little room with a a lot of ideas and nowhere to go.
