Bad Seed Brewery Launch Control (6.2%)

I love Bad Seed and the gang that work there, having championed them since their very earliest times when their branding reminded me of underground record labels of the 1980’s.
As such I think they’d expect me to be honest when writing about their beer, which usually I can’t fault.
But this IPA brewed with orange puree just doesn’t work.
Whatever malt body there might be, whatever Amarillo hoppy goodness there might be, is all beaten to a pulp by the orange that simply decimates the brew, destroying any depth, leaving you with an acrid and acidic beer that doesn’t even hold its orange flavours as everything collapses under the weight of the citric attack.
I had to pour it away.
