Packed with super dry dark chocolate and lashings of coffee, this is a very good London Porter.
This is, like a good London Porter should be, a very autumnal beer, a beer heaped with crunchy red leaf litter, maple syrup, rolling tobacco and candy canes.
It’s a beer whose hoppy nettle sting and hedgerow wander feels like it is beginning to soften, looking forward to hibernation.
But the black coffee kick right in this beer’s heart won’t let you rest, far from it, it’ll have you wide awake and smiling as a treacle tart meaty sweetness peeps out at you and a little creamy fudge adds some much needed softness to this otherwise dry as a bone beauty.
