It’s A Crossbreed is an Imperial Porter sporting East Kent Golding hops for a superbly British hedgerow bite.
The beer pours a deep purple brown with a big cappuccino head and a smell packed with liquorice and plums.
You’ll find liquorice and plums in the flavour as well, deep and rich, warm and comforting, they feel sticky and chewy, and they work alongside the burned toffee, brown bread and honey of the malting.
There’s bitter chocolate as well, and a hint of very dry red wine tannins coupled with treacle tart, while those hops bring green pithy hedgerow and nettle stings to brighten up the long, warm autumnal finish.
