Dog’s Window of Bridgend are quietly going about the business of making fantastic beer while no one is really watching.
At least that’s how it seems from here, two hundred miles away and feeling lucky to get the beer delivered from Pop’n’Hops in Cardiff.
Destroyer Of Slippers is a Hazy IPA brewed with Azacca, Bravo and Columbus hops and a London Ale yeast.
It’s a cloudy beer with a peach melba and honeysuckle aroma and a lovely head that laces your glass as you drink.
You’ll find a solid caramel biscuit, brioche and toffee malt heart to the beer, chewy, sticky and rather sexy, and a big splash of redwood resin, marmalade, rolling tobacco and hedgerow from the hopping.
This is a terrific little beer made all the better by the fact that right now Dog’s Window feel like my own little secret.
