Newtown Park Brewery Level Up (8%)

Brewed in collaboration with Left Handed Giant and using the kit that Newtown bought from them, this is one hell of a Double IPA.
Round and creamy and smooth, there’s a lovely wash of vanilla fudge, biscuits, honey and toasted bread crusts at the heart of Level Up, it’s a superbly solid malt body, and over this the hops – Mosaic, El Dorado and Loral – provide lashings of lemon curd and rosemary, lime zest, thyme and hazel leaves.
It’s a fresh hoppy hit that’s both sweet and sticky, sharp and bitter, and all this is pushed along by the boozy hit of clear gin warmth that rounds out the finish.
Super brewing.
