Fallen Acorn Brewing co. Where Is Your Heart? (11.5%)

Now this, ladies and gentlemen, reminds me of why I got excited and started to write about beer in the first place.
You see, this isn’t just your run of the mill booze heavy Imperial Stout.
No, this Imperial Stout has been brewed with raspberries, pistachios and cacao, and along with a superbly balanced swish of lactose, makes for a beer that tastes and feels like a sumptuous dessert.
The aroma is fruity and fresh and rich with coffee, and taking a mouthful you find a lovely treacle tart, pastry and honeycomb malt body.
There’s a subtle hop hit providing a light slap of fresh and pithy greenery and then there’s the raspberries and pistachios wrapped in creamy chocolate that give the finish of the beer a deliciously booze laden jammy finish.
This is superb.
