I’ve not had a Peanut Butter Stout for ages, but with this can of goodness it was worth the wait.
From the rich Hersheys smell, through the moustache coating head to the deep dark and exceptionally sexy body, this is one hell of a beer.
It’s an Imperial Stout packed with treacle tart, its pastry freshly baked, rich black coffee, bitter chocolate, a hint of liquorice and a slap of crunchy red leaf litter from the hops.
And with each mouthful the peanut butter builds, rich, salty sweet and sticky and made warm by the hefty brandy booze of the alcohol.
This is terrific.
