This Wee Heavy brewed in collaboration with Fallen Acorn and using heather and honey is really fantastic.
There’s simply no other word for it.
Round and chewy, warm and satisfying, the malting brings rum and raisin chocolate, coffee, toffee and brown bread, while there’s a dry and pithy hop hit, all hedgerow greenery and hazel leaves.
And then there’s the sweet and sticky honey and the dry and slightly earthy leafiness of the heather.
And in the finish all of this is driven home by a seer run booziness.
Like I said, fantastic.
